My Best Friend

Today, an era ended. My boyfriend of over a year and I ended our romantic relationship. We love each other completely and totally, but we knew we were being called to different paths.

He is still my best friend. I can still hold his hand and look in his eyes and recognize how close we are, how much we love each other. Our love did not stop; it changed. It is still incredibly painful to watch something so beautiful end, but we will remain in each other's lives; I would have it no other way.

Madhatter, you know who you are. I loved you then, I love you now, and I will love you always.
